The Future is Beautiful..If you truly had any issues with the 2017 version of the QLED, I'm asking that you PLEASE try the 2018. As the previous reviewer wrote, the fact that Samsung has protected from burn in with OLED's by not only upgrading the tech, but also WARRANTYING the fact says it all. I have been using the TV with my Xbox One X 4k capabilities and the outcome is strictly amazing (try Mad Max:Fury Road with this gem)!! The colors and blacks truly are represented in this model and I dare you to compare it to any other QLED or OLED TV. This thing holds its own against all comers!

Vertical Banding and broken back plate defectso the picture is great during bright viewing areas but at night it really starts showing its problems during gamemode I get lots of vertical banding not so much on other mode. Mined you its during dark scenes and during the day it is not a problem with the picture looks gorgeous, there is also a dirty screen effect on my particular set but it's not very noticeable. The TV is my second one already I had to return my first one because of vertical banding as well. This one has a plate in the back where you say the USB and audio input is coming apart, also the vertical banding is still present thought not as bad as the first set.

No one connect boxFirst of all I like to say is this TV is good for the price but I’m really disappointed it doesn’t come with the one Connect box .only the flagship model. Now I have to take this tv back to the store and return it for a different Samsung tv that might have the one connect box .because the way I got my tv and setup I don’t have space with my cables I’ll have to change everything buy new longer cable. because of my previous TV Ks9800 had one connect box.I was trying to save some money by avoiding to purchasing the qn75q9fn. I think this is the only tv that come with one connect box. This really is a deal breaker for me y’all.

Color is on pointGLAD I switched back to Samsung! This model (“QLED 55”) is on-point. I mounted it in the living room at my cabin (bright, constant sun) so the anti reflective screen (ultra black elite) is a bonus because the color automatically corrects to filter out the shadows. As far as color itself, it’s the difference between this TV and my previous TV (VIZIO) is CRAZY!! Definitely the most vibrant color I’ve seen in a TV. The voice assistance feature is a need I didn’t know I had...I now love changing the channel using the smart remote. This TV was an investment but 100% worth the purchase price for the quality and reputability.

As promisedBought this tv about a week ago and continue to like the vibrant colors and features. I have it in a dark room downstairs and adjusted the expert picture options to suit my needs. Play around with controls and you can find some recommendations on the internet, yet try out what works for you. Set up was easy. Good functions if you already have a Samsung phone to connect. I have an older but effective surround sound system that works fine with it. The speaker is actually okay for this type of tv, much better than older Samsung I have from 2012.

Samsung 65 inch Q8 reviewThe Q8FN is great TV with excellent contrast ratio. It is the best LED tv one can get on the market. The full array dimming feature works pretty well and produces deep blacks. The color gamut is pretty wide and this tv produces a picture that is more colourful that most of the other tv's on the market, looks like qleds really work. The images are crisp and sharp, the HDR feature is pretty good at revealing fine details in the shadows. This is one of the few tv's that have very high peak SDR/HDR brightness so it is good for bright living rooms. The ambient mode is a cool add on and it actually useful as there is no risk of burn in as with OLED. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A FANTASTIC TV!First of the local dimming is fantastic. A huge improvement compared to the KS8000/9000 and last years Q8/9. Contrast is much higher than the other TV's I mentioned and clouding is less of an issue. Colors have also improved slightly and motion is better. overall this TV is awesome and I have enjoyed the TV since my purchase. The only problem I have with the TV, and its not really a problem just a software issue, is the local dimming. If my TV is not set in movie mode the local dimming can be a little off, but with a firm ware update they can fix the local dimming. Once they do this the TV will be nearly perfect.

Great picture and user experienceI am extremely happy with this purchase. The set up was extremely easy and the user experience is awesome. The OneRemote voice assistance really makes navigating the feature of the smart TV effortless. Above all, the picture is incredible, the boarder is small, and the viewing angle is huge!
Can the "Motion Rate 240 for Reduced Motion Blur" ...
Can the "Motion Rate 240 for Reduced Motion Blur" feature be turned off? I hate the look of this feature. It's fine for sports, but most Hollywood films are in 24fps and look good WITH the natural motion blur of 24fps.
